The room is full of darkness
when one who is sitting
in that room discovers
this truth that
the room is full of darkness
that very moment is important
because
that very moment has the power
either to bring
radical transformation in that being
or
it may lead to more darkness…
and therefore if one sings
asto ma sad gamaya…
meaning from this untruth (darkness)
lead me to the truth (light)
tamaso ma jyotir gamaya
meaning from this darkness (untruth)
lead me to the light (truth)
mrityor ma amritam gamaya
meaning from this death (untruth)
lead me to non-death/eternity/immortality that
which never dies but which exists till eternity (truth)
by singing or chanting the above sloka
there is no guarantee that one may lead
towards the TRUTH, LIGHT, ETERNITY
So one finds that there is
darkness in the room
and when one gets aware
that the room is really getting darker
what one does in that moment,
what action is carried forward
by that being during this moment,
that very action
will be able to decide
whether that being
will lead towards light
or
still that being
will be into
that darkness…
There are many who take action instantly
and this action is something amazing
because the action that they are taking
has a deeper root of
mis-understanding about karm-yoga.
One gets into all kinds of karma
once one discover
that the room is darker
one tries more hard cleaning the room,
brooming the room,
decorating the room,
inviting more people into that room
to show their decorations,
then throwing out some useless materials
from that room,
gifting or donating some of the materials
to the needy with the feel
that this karma will bring some light to
that darkness
which is there in the room.
Nevertheless room will remain dark
no matter whatever action (karma) you will do. Brooming,
cleaning,
gifting,
charity
cannot remove
that darkness into the room.
If asto ma sad gamaya,
tamaso ma jyotir gamaya,
mrityor ma amritam gamaya
has to happen then
one has to drop all these actions
all these doing
all these efforts to clean room,
to decorate room,
to re-arrange room etc.
One has to come out of all such actions (karma).
Because such action will never ever
lead one
to the truth, light, eternity.
All these actions are completely irrelevant
if the room is dark
then something is to be done
something else has to be
brought into the room
which will ignite the room
what is that?
Light is THE ONLY solution.
So if any karma has to happen
then it is all about
bringing or igniting or inviting LIGHT
to the room
nothing else is required.
And to bring or invite or ignite LIGHT
no such karmas are required
such as cleaning,
brooming,
re-arranging,
charity etc.
LIGHT cannot come
through
cleaning,
brooming,
re-arranging,
charity
in the room.
One has to go to the source of LIGHT.
Either one has to go to SUN
or one has to find out electricity
or one has to find ignited candle
all these are various sources of LIGHT
and these sources can only remove
the darkness in the room
nothing else, no other karmas.
Are you
in this room which is full of darkness?
A darkness where
one feels that ones life is incomplete,
where life seems full of struggle,
where one finds challenges everywhere,
where one is into negative experiences,
where life is full of problems and issues,
where there is dissatisfaction,
where one is encountering emotions
like fear, anger, jealousy, possessiveness, greed,
lust, craving, gratification, irritation
where agony is coming frequently in daily living,
where one is caught into this cycle
where one feels pleasure with the same being
and suddenly
one feels pains coming from the same being who
once gave pleasure,
where one is caught into this cycle
where one feels so much appreciation at a moment
and suddenly
one finds that one gets criticised by the same being who appreciated before,
where one finds oneself into this cycle
where one felt so much happy in presence of some being
and suddenly
now one finds sad when that same being is near,
where one was rejuvenated with the other being
and now one is exhausted by the other being.
Same being who gave happiness
is now responsible for sadness of yours.
Same being who gave pleasure
is now responsible for pain of yours.
Same being who gave love
is now responsible for agony of yours.
Are you caught into this room?
The room is full of darkness

So pick up this very moment
don’t get into any immediate
actions like
cleaning the room
brooming the room
re-arranging the room
if at all you are really interested
in removing the darkness in the room.
Any kind of karma will never remove
the darkness of this room.
Only and only LIGHT
has the power to remove the darkness.
