The question implies a subtle sarcasm. Human mind is trained to be sarcastic right from childhood. Nevertheless looking at the seriousness of the question let us explore it. Is meditation a technique or a method or it requires training to learn? The day we came out of the womb of our mother our first act was inhale. From where did we get this training to inhale and exhale? Who taught us how to inhale and exhale? Which school, college and university provided us certificate to inhale and exhale that we are now masters in inhale and exhale so now we can do it perfectly?
If you observer a smile on your face after reading this then you know the answer very well. And if you are angry or upset then you are far away from the answer. If it is said that meditation is not a technique or method or a training course then the next question will be they why so many meditation classes and gurus are there around the world? Then what is the use of Transidatial meditation, zen meditation and the list goes on? And with this the next question will arise which is the best meditation technique? We all are looking for the best for us and so there is cut throat competition all around the world.
If you are thirsty and you are given water from natural brook will that fulfill your thirst? Or you will require mineral water or RO water to fulfill your thirst? If your thirst is fulfilled with any clear non toxic water from any part of world will that be ok? What is more important for you to fulfill the thirst or the label of the company from which the water is coming to you? The problem with human mind is it never go into the root it just want readymade solution. Also with the habit of readymade seeking it is looking out for instant solution.
Yet human mind has to understand that most of the processes of nature are slow and steady and yet very profound. It took you nine months to come out of the womb of your mother. You never came out the day you were conceived into the womb. So every natural process has its beauty., legitimacy and authenticity.
